Do you find corel to be better at painting than photoshop?

depends. If youre coming from photoshop, theres a learning curve to the program and theres this lack of familiarity as you have with photoshop. personally i like to paint with corel cause its far easier to blend and stuff, but Photoshop is still a fantastic program.

You know. I feel very frustrated trying to get colors to behave the way I want in Photoshop. Would you say Corel is far superior for drawing? I don't care about blending modes. Thanks.

I cant make a claim as I am still in the midst of learning more about Corel Painter. The program shouldn't be the catalyst to your creations. It is merely a tool to aid you. How you use it is completely up to you, this may sound completely vague but thats just how it is. you would have to try it out to find out.

May I ask what brushes you used/ what brushes you like in Painter 12? I can never quite get comfortable in Painter.

I like the reflections in the helmet - nicely portrayed.

The Pastel Brushes are what I used, as to what kind Im not sure, I think Soft Pastel Mostly. Im still trying to find "my brushes" in Painter. Like you said, its hard finding brushes you're comfortable with. The Pastel brushes seem to do the job for me, might just need to tweak them to maximize their effectiveness :D

plus they have great natural blending lol
